The 20-stars American flag represents the United States as it recognized Indiana, Tennessee, Ohio, Louisiana and Mississippi as new states. First adopted in 1818, it featured 20 stars on a blue field and 13 alternating red and white stripes. This flag was flown from 1818 to 1819.
